Beasts of Yore
The Beasts of Yore is portfolio project being produced by the combined effort of many
artists. It's being headed up by a friend and I will be contributing a piece of artwork for it.
The portfolio is themed around obscure mythological creatures from heraldry and/or dating from antiquity.
The beasts are being drawn in anthro form, with backgrounds and borders that reflect their symbolism and
the mythology associated with them.
I will be contributing an image of the Keythong. The Keythong is the male version of the more
well-known Gryphon. What marks it as a Keythong rather than a Gryphon is that the Keythong has no wings -
instead he has golden spikes sticking out from several places on his body. The most commonly depicted set of
spikes are the ones on the shoulders which mimic the Gryphon's wings to some extent. The Keythong is also sometimes
depicted with a pair of long, straight horns and long ears.
Demoness Costume
This costume will build off my faun costume.
For anybody who's seen pictures of MissMonster in her demoness costume, something
along that line is what I have in mind. I want to make armour, and do a full facial prosthetic and big honkin' horns. Not
anything I'm going to be able to get to anytime soon due to lack of time, but definitely something I intend to do in the future.
Critter Pack (prototype 2)
The critter pack is an older project that went over well with people, but due to the commission price not very market-friendly.
The plan is to try it with different materials (no grain to worry about, less time needed to stitch the pack together), and having
the claws (hand sculpted and painted) as an an add-on rather than being included by default. Between the two that should reduce work
time by a couple hours, which will reduce the commission price overall.
Mascot Masks/Partials
Two partial costumes (head, tail, hands and feet) are in the works, being made specifically to sell. One is a grey-furred
rabbit, the other's a cat with an usual grey fur with reddish leopard spots. Both will be made available for sale once they
are completed.
